ITINERARY:
DAY 1 – FRIDAY – 24 February 2012
When travelling - flying we strongly suggest you wear carry on you your running shoes and climbing boots, these are crucial for your race and climb, and you do not want to risk losing them in the hold. Make sure you have your yellow fever certificate with you, you need to produce it on arrival in Tanzania.
Depart OR Tambo International Airport from Johannesburg on the late night flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania via Dar es Salaam. Overnight on the aircraft enroute to Tanzania.
DAY 2 – SATURDAY – 25 February 2012
On arrival this morning you will be met and transferred to the Keys Hotel in Moshi, Tanzania a 45 min drive. Stay here on a bed and continental breakfast basis.Report to registration to collect your race number between 10h00 to 17h00 at Keys Main Hotel.
Spend the day relaxing at the pool or you may opt to go and explore the little town of Moshi. You can buy curios and have some lunch at one of the local restaurants. Day trips can be arranged at an additional cost.
This evening a special carbo loading supper will be available payable direct to the hotel for you to fuel up for the race. Tonight there will be a Marathon briefing.
DAY 3 – SUNDAY – 26 February 2012
The 10th Kilimanjaro Marathon – RACE DAY.
Transfers to and from the stadium will be provided for all Wild Frontiers clients. The Wild Frontiers Hospitality tent with shade and drinks will be provided exclusively to all Wild Frontiers clients at the finish.
Make use of your room for the day at the Keys Hotel. Check out in the afternoon for your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight to Johannesburg.
Includes- Flights from JNB to Kilimanjaro International Airport, 1 Night accommodation on a bed and continental breakfast basis, Day rooms use for 1 day, Services of Wild Frontieres Co-ordinator at race and over weekend, Marathon entry package which includes a guaranteed bib number, T Shirt, medal, goodie bag, Hospitality tent facility at finish including snacks and drinks as well as transfers to and from the stadium.
Excludes- All meals not mentioned, beverages, airport taxes, visa cost, travel insurance, health requirements, gratuities, all items of a personal nature.
